The music 21 to 25

I choose Savin’ Me by Nickelback because in the begining of the song it related to Tom in jail.  The lyrics that relate to Tom are “Prison gates won’t open up for me” because he wont be let free.  “These iron bars can’t hold my soul in” because he died and went up to heaven so his soul is not trapped in jail.  “These city walls ain’t got no love for me” relates to Tom because the town has no love for him and glad he’s locked up.  “And I’ll leave this life behind me” this lyrics relates to Tom because he died.

quote for 21-25

“If there’s just one kind of folks, why can’t they get along with each other?” (Lee 227).  Jem was the one to say this.  He told Scout this after she described her thought about what background means for a person to make them so different than other people.  They had this conversation after their aunt said Scout couldn’t invite Walter over to the house because he’s trash.   Scout believes everyone’s the same kind of folk and Jem said he thought that to at her age.  So the quote means if Scout is right, if there’s one kind of person everyone should get along but not everybody can get along.  Which means what Scout believes can’t be true.

CH: 21 to 25 By Rodrigo Soto

In to Kill a mocking bird i was horrible it boring. It all talks about how tom Robinson is guilty but he not guilty everyone there are really racist to Tom they wont believe his story, instead they believed all the lies Mayella said. Cal was worried about the kids Jem,Dill and Scout cause they where missing, but Mr Underwood found the kids in the balcony watching the trial they where told to go home to eat and then could come back. Jem keep talking about how cruel the white men are  racist to the men like Tom Robinson. how racist the book is white men won’t fight each other but they will fight a black man what lame racist book hate reading this when people don’t understand we where are born equally even if you are handicap.

Picture for: 21-25

This picture, I think, helps represent when Tom Robinson got convicted guilty. They had no proof that he was guilty, so it just makes me mad that they would just assume he was because he was black. It also makes me mad that Mayella would actually pretend that he did rape her. I mean, doesn’t she have a heart? Obviously not.

21-25 initial post :]

I liked this section of the book because it was interesting to read. I don’t think it was right that they put Tom Robinson in jail because they had no proof that he raped her. Mayella thought Atticus was being rude, but really Atticus is nothing but nice. He is really polite and that is just his nature. Another thing I can’t get over is that Tom is dead. I know that once your put in jail, if you try to escape they can use deadly forces on you..But  TOM WASN’T GUILTY. It just bugs me that they actually think he was. But I’m pretty sure that he was only guilty because he was black. If he was white, I’m pretty sure things would have been different.

Aunt Alexandra is still trying to make Scout more of a lady. If she doesn’t want to change, she shouldn’t have to. Plus, she shouldn’t be forced to change either. Aunt Alexandra, in my opinion, should be happy that Atticus is letting her stay at his place. Instead, she is just trying to take advantage of his household and try to take over everyone. Maybe she doesn’t know, but Scount ISN’T going to change for anyone.

So, these chapters were way more interesting. It made me actually want to read because of the suspense going on. I am still mad that Tom was guilty, and now currently dead. But it’s just a book, so its whatever.

Chapter’s 21 to 25

This section of reading was fairly interesting.  I thought it was wrong that the jury didn’t take Tom side but instead took Mayella.  Tom’s story was way more believable than Maybella.  Then Mr. Ewells has to threaten Atticus after the trail.  It down right wrong; Mr. Ewell’s side of the story was believed and he won.  It makes no sense for him to threaten Atticus.  Atticus has a lot of patience with people, especially to take that and have him spit in your face.  Jem has a lot of emotion and I’m glad he can see the injustice that is going on.  The Aunt is still mean and I still don’t like her.  Why can’t she leave Scout alone with the whole lady thing?  I think she worries to much about who’s around her family.  All Scout wants to do is be nice to Walter and the Aunt says no to that.  What is so wrong to have someone lower class than you come over to your house?  Aunt Alexandra makes too much of a big deal out of things.  Jem’s nice; he made his sister feel better.  Jem’s funny; he’s proud of the hair on his chest that you can’t see.  That just cracked me up.  The most surprising thing was that I can’t believe is that Tom is dead.  I didn’t think that would happen.  The chapters were good; I hope it’s a good ending.

quote for Ch 17- 20

“He’s not trying to mock you, he’s trying to be polite” (Lee 182).  Judge Taylor told Mayella this when she was on trial.  Mayella claimed that Atticus was mock her by calling her ma’ and miss.  When in reality Atticus was only being polite.  Atticus is polite to everyone inside or outside the courtroom that is just the way he is.  Judge Taylor said Atticus has always been like that in the court room, to Mayella.  The quote shows how uncustom it is for Mayella to be call ‘Miss’.  Plus It shows how good of a character Atticus is; he’s a nice guy.  Judged Taylor let the court know Atticus did not mock her or sass her.  Atticus then went on with the proceedings and went back to the case.

music to 17-20

I pick Stop and Stare by One Republic beacuse it describes Tom in the chorus. Like the verse “But I become what I can’t be” relates to Tom because he doesn’t want to be what he was accused of.  Plus people stop and stare at him for what he is accused of.

Ch: 17 to 20

In the book to kill a mocking bird, i found out interesting things, like bob Ewell is a bad person i feel bad for what had happen to Mayella. and how can they beat her up.and how mayella blamed tom Robison, atticus is a smart person he know if they are lieing or not, like what atticus said did anyone took her to the doctor and they said no.and how mayella was only beated up on the right side of her face. and he made Bob Ewell write his name and they found out he writes with his left. Tom Robinson  left hand is 12 inches shorter than his right one if could recall. because he got it caught in mr.Dolphus cotton gin. He lost of his muscles so he can’t use it at all.I felt bad for tom robinson how he kept droping his bible. Mr. Raymond he lives with a color women, and he goes around and drinks a lot from a brown paper bag. And mr raymond gave scout and dill a sip of his soda that what dill said  it just coca-cola scout thought it was something bad in it. In chapter 17-20 were the best scenes.

17-20 Picture.

I chose this picture because of the courtroom scene that was going on. I think this picture mainly reprsents the main setting in these chapters. Hopefully, Tom isn’t proved guilty and maybe the jury can get over the rascist card just for one case.
